U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. --

A small section of the New Santa Fe Trail on the Air Force Academy will close Feb. 16 and Feb. 19 for concrete demolition on a roadway bridge passing over the trail.

The tri-intersection bridge is located approximately 0.7 miles north of mile marker 41 and 0.3 miles south of mile marker 42 on the trail.

Construction of the bridge will continue through the spring of 2019 and additional closures are anticipated throughout the project. Most closures will last only one day; however a three-week closure is scheduled for the beginning of March and again in October.

The Academy will make every effort to notify the public of these closures as early as possible.
