Falcon Heritage Forum

Falcon Heritage ForumThe Falcon Heritage Forum is a semi-annual program held in the fall and spring. The FHF hosts more than 40 military veterans who are invited to participate based on the chosen theme for each forum. FHF links cadets with the wealth of experience and heritage found in our nation's distinguished veterans and provides a systematic yet personal method for cadets to talk to men and women of impeccable character as identified through their involvement in military service to the United States.

Each participant is linked with one of the 40 cadet squadrons for the three-day forum to share their experiences in ways they deem relevant to cadets' character development. Previous themes include "Heroes of World War II," "Company Grade Officers in Current Operations," "Heroes of Desert Shield and Desert Storm," "Heroes of Humanitarian Operations" and "Space: The Ultimate High Ground."

TRAVEL INFORMATION

If you plan to drive a personal or rental vehicle to the Falcon Heritage Forum, please let the Plans and Programs division know what time you anticipate arriving at the Academy. This will allow the FHF to adequately plan for lodging and access to the Academy grounds. Those who do not have a Department of Defense ID card will receive an access pass.

When you arrive at the Academy, you must enter at the South Gate, Exit 150 on Interstate 25. Be prepared to show your FHF pass, a photo ID, your vehicle registration or rental agreement and proof of insurance. Gate guards will have a list of all FHF attendees and will allow you to enter the base once they verify your credentials. Once you are on base, go to Rampart Lodge.

LODGING INFORMATION

The staff will make lodging reservations for all out-of-town speakers. As a general rule, visiting speakers will stay on the Academy at Rampart Lodge, pending availability.

Adequate parking is available at the Rampart Lodge for individuals wishing to drive their personal or rental vehicles. However, visitor parking in the cadet area during the Forum is prohibited. As a result, the Academy will provide shuttle service throughout the forum.
