Customer Services

The Student Academic Affairs and Academy Registrar's Customer Services division is responsible for cadet registration and scheduling, classroom scheduling, final exams, records management for active cadets and many aspects involved with inprocessing basic cadets and graduation.

Customer Services' hours of operation are weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mountain Time.

RECORDS REQUESTS

To obtain copies of records such as transcripts or replacement diplomas, send a request to the Student Academic Affairs and Registrar office at:

You may also submit a scanned request in PDF format to dfr.customerservice@usafa.edu or fax a request to 719-333-6650 (DSN 333-6650). See information in the Records tab below for information that you must submit for each type of records request.

Transcripts

To submit a transcript request, please include:

-- Date of request
-- Cadet's full name
-- Class year
-- Social Security number
-- Number of copies requested
-- Address to which transcript should be sent
-- Your current address and phone number
-- Statement of purpose (official or personal)
-- Special instructions (if needed)
-- Signature

Transcripts are free for active-duty personnel. For others, the cost for a transcript is $3.50 for the first copy sent to an address, $.45 for each additional copy to the same address and $3.50 per copy to each additional address.

Replacement Diplomas

To submit a request for a replacement paper diploma, please provide the following:

-- Cadet's name as it appears on the diploma
-- Social Security number
-- Class year
-- Exact date of graduation
-- Exact degree received
-- Daytime phone number
-- Mailing address
-- Signature

Other Records


To submit a request for cadet-related information other than transcripts, please provide the following information:

-- Cadet's full name
-- Social Security number
-- Class year
-- What information is being requested, specifically
-- Where to send (can be faxed if five pages or fewer)
-- Daytime phone number
-- Signature

There is no cost associated with requests for records other than transcripts.
tabUpdating Personal Information 
Only cadets can update their personal information, either by visiting the Registrar's Customer Service desk during normal hours or by using the Cadet Administrative Management Information System, or CAMIS.

CAMIS allows cadets to update certain portions of their personal information such as contact addresses and phone numbers for parents and other points of contact, privacy information and disclosure waivers, graduation names and name pronounciations.
tabTransfer and Validation Credit 
Placement exams are given to cadets in certain subjects during the first week at the Academy. Based on their scores, cadets may receive validation credit and be placed into advanced or accelerated courses.

Transfer credit may be awarded to cadets for courses taken at other colleges and preparatory schools. Request to have your transcripts sent to:

Validation credit is awarded to incoming cadets for scores of four or five on the College Board's Advanced Placement examination in various academic subjects and may also be awarded to cadets who took the International Baccalaureate exams. Discretion is up to the academic departments. Scores should be sent to the Air Force Academy for consideration.
