Rep. Niki Tsongas (D-Mass.) is a member of the Air Force Academy's Board of Visitors. As a member of the Board, Congresswoman Tsongas inquires into the morale, discipline, curriculum, instruction, physical equipment, fiscal affairs, academic methods and other matters relating to the Academy that the Board decides to consider.
Congresswoman Tsongas was appointed to the Board by the Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee in 2008.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Congresswoman Tsongas represents Massachusetts' 5th District. Her committee assignments include the House Armed Services Committee, the Budget Committee and the Natural Resources Committee.
Prior to her election to Congress, she was the Dean of External Affairs at Middlesex Community College, the largest community college in Massachusetts.
