Support Agencies

Base support agencies are available to active-duty servicemembers and Department of Defense civilians who are assigned to the U.S. Air Force Academy, their family members, retirees, cadets and preparatory school students. The 10th Mission Support Squadron provides these services to enable the Academy's mission of developing future Air Force leaders.

MILITARY PERSONNEL FLIGHT
Primary services include newcomer's orientation, copies of previous officer or enlisted performance reports, local address updates, dependent ID cards and DD Forms 214. Newcomer's orientation is held the third Thursday of each month.
Hours: Wednesdays, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; other weekdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

AIRMAN LEADERSHIP SCHOOL
ALS prepares future Air Force NCOs to face the challenges of leadership and management in today's Air Force. Each student receives a comprehensive and demanding education. The curriculum includes topics related to the profession of arms, leadership, and verbal and written communication skills.
Hours: Weekdays, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

EDUCATION OFFICE
The Education Office offers advice for Airmen seeking their Community College of the Air Force degrees or higher-level degrees through the Air Force Tuition Assistance Program.
Hours: Wednesdays, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; other weekdays, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

AIRMAN AND FAMILY READINESS FLIGHT
The Airman and Family Readiness Flight assists Airmen and their families with deployments, permanent change of station moves and finding employment in the local community. The flight also provides assistance for families in need through Air Force Aid Society-sponsored programs such as Bundles for Babies, Give Parents a Break and the General Henry "Hap" Arnold Education Grant.

FIRST TERM AIRMAN CENTER
The First Term Airman Center prepares Airmen who have recently completed Basic Military Training and technical training to succeed in their assignment to the Air Force Academy. Classes are scheduled based on unit needs.
