Fire on Academy grounds is 50-percent contained
U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. --
A one-half acre fire that broke out in Jacks Valley in the northern part of the Air Force Academy is 50 percent contained as of 11 a.m. Mountain Time.
No structures are threatened and no one has been injured.
The cause is unknown at this time.
Fire crews from the Academy, Tri-Lakes, El Paso County and the U.S. Forest Service will continue to aggressively attack the fire until it is fully contained.
