New Media and The Air Force

As part of the Air Force's initiative to help guide Airmen into being communicators, "New Media and the Air Force" is available for download. The pamphlet, created by the Air Force Public Affairs Agency, Emerging Technology Division, should be used as an instructional guide. It is not to be construed as official guidance, endorsement of products or sites listed, nor is it policy. It was developed for Air Force Public Affairs professionals who offer guidance and counsel on anything communication related -- it's called PAG, Public Affairs Guidance. Please feel free to download and consult the book to learn more about social media and how it is being used as a new communication tool.

USAFA is on a 2-hour delay, Thurs., April 11, due to poor weather and road conditions. All USAFA personnel not identified as emergency services or mission essential are authorized to report up to 2 hours past their normal reporting time in order to allow safe travel from their residence. Please contact your individual chain-of-command with any questions. USAFA/DF, USAFA/CW, USAFA/HD, Cadet Clinic Staff, and Mitchell Hall Dining Facility Staff reporting instructions will be modified so personnel will report at proper times to meet mission needs. Personnel in these offices should contact their supervisors for specific reporting instructions. Cadets will report to classes at 0900. The Visitor Cordon will open at 0900. The Child Development Center will open at the normal time to accomodate mission essential personnel.
Class of 2019, you've made it this far. Only 50 days left. You got this! 💪
Due to weather conditions, all non-mission essential base personnel are authorized early release at 1 p.m. Coordinate with your supervisor and leadership for any safety concerns. More updates to follow.
The USAFA Cadet Chapel repair has been deferred as the Air Force looks for ways to secure supplemental funding for our budget shortfalls. This is just one of 61 projects in 18 states on hold; our service leaders are having to make some very serious and difficult decisions to ensure our overall readiness. The Chapel will remain open until a final decision is made and we will provide further information as available.
Great work AF Baseball! Falcons over Utah Valley 16-15.💯

The Air Force Academy is not really important in itself. What is important is the product of the Academy. The graduates will be the measure of its success. 💯 📹: US Air Force Academy Association of Graduates
