The Superintendent of the United States Air Force Academy

Lt Gen Jay B. Silveria is the twentieth Superintendent at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo. He directs a four-year regimen of military training, academics, athletic and character development programs leading to a Bachelor of Science degree and a commission as a second lieutenant.

General Silveria grew up in an Air Force family and is a 1985 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. He completed undergraduate pilot training in 1986, and his subsequent flying assignments include positions as Flight Commander, Chief of Wing Standardization and Evaluation, and Operations Officer.
