General public has 1 month to see Cadet Chapel before renovations begin

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. --

The Cadet Chapel at the Air Force Academy is scheduled to close Jan. 1 for at least four years for necessary renovations and repairs.

Visitors have about one month to visit Colorado’s number one  man-made attraction before the preservation and restoration repairs are slated to begin.

The Chapel will be open through the holiday season. Visitor hours of operation are 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Saturday, and 1 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Chapel is listed on the National Historic Registry and the Academy is proud to oversee the preservation the building for generations of Americans and cadets to come.
