Colonel THOMAS W. STAMP

Col. Thomas W. Stamp is the Commander, 10th Medical Group, and Command Surgeon at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Col. Stamp ensures healthcare for 4,739 cadets in addition to 19,373 active duty, retirees, and their families. He also serves as Deputy Director, Colorado Military Health System market for over 217,000 eligible beneficiaries and ensures deployment preparedness of 700 medics. Prior to this he served as the Chief of the Medical Staff at USAFEAFAFRICA, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

Col. Stamp entered the Air Force in June 1996 through the U.S. Air Force Academy. After attending Dartmouth Medical School in New Hampshire, he reentered active duty in March 2000. He completed his General Surgery residency at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. He has been stationed at Eglin AFB, Florida, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado, Ft. McNair, Washington, D.C., and Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England. During these assignments, he has been deployed to the Philippines, Iraq, and Afghanistan as a General Surgeon, to Ramstein AB as a CCATT physician and served as the Commander of the 455 Expeditionary Medical Group and Combined Joint Task Force Medical Afghanistan at Bagram Air Field and Hamid-Karzai International Airport, Afghanistan.
