The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) will utilize Categorical Exclusion (CATEX) DA-(d)(3): Implementation of hunting and fishing policies or regulations that are consistent with state and local regulations for the Request for Environmental Impact Analysis 32 CFR 989.12  AF813 Form titled USAFA White-Tailed Deer Archery Hunt, allowing white-tailed deer hunting in designated zones on USAFA during specific seasons and approved times. This adopted CATEX has been approved by the Federal Registrar following public notice.

The U.S. Air Force Academy is dedicated to protecting the environment. All installation personnel are responsible for environmental protection and conservation. The Academy aims to continually improve environmental conservation, awareness, and competency at all organizational levels by making sound environmental decisions in day-to-day operations while maintaining mission readiness.
