1 Academy NCO selected for promotion to chief master sgt

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. --

The Air Force selected one NCO at the Air Force Academy for promotion to chief master sergeant Dec. 8: Senior Master Sgt. Heather Muse of the Academy's Headquarters Command Staff.

 

Muse said many helped her on her professional journey to being selected for promotion to chief master sergeant, the Air Force's top-enlisted rank.

 

“Thanks to my family, friends and mentors who supported and helped me get here," she said. "I couldn’t have made it without you.”

-- 531 senior master sergeants were selected for promotion to chief from a pool of 2,229 Airmen 

-- 23.82 percent is the overall selection rate

-- 506.82 is the average overall score for those selected for promotion.

Airmen selected for promotion to chief will be promoted according to their promotion sequence number, beginning in January.
