U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- The Air Force Academy's Natural Resources office will host an annual deer management-controlled hunt Dec. 5-6 and Dec. 12-13.

Personnel from the Academy, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Colorado Parks and Wildlife will guide hunters during the event.

Public safety is the highest priority. The map indicates where deer hunting is prohibited during the hunt.

Frequently used roads and trails in the hunting areas will be posted with orange "Area Closed - Authorized Personnel Only" signs.

The Falcon Trail, archery range, Pine Valley horse pastures, and PARS course will closed during the hunts.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife issues licenses for the 2020 hunting season.

To apply for future hunts, hunters must submit a big game application to Colorado Parks and Wildlife for Game Management Unit 512.
