3/15/2011 - U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- Seven master sergeants at the Air Force Academy were selected for promotion to senior master sergeant, the Academy Directorate of Manpower and Personnel announced March 10.

The senior NCOs were selected from 63 eligible for a promotion rate of 11 percent.

Air Force-wide, 1,450 master sergeants were selected from 13,216 eligible for a promotion rate just shy of 9 percent.

The average score for those selected was 661.49, according to the Air Force Personnel Center. The score was based on 32.65 points for time in grade, 21.24 points for time in service, 135 points for enlisted performance reports, 21.27 points for decorations, 64.44 points for the Air Force supervisory examination and 386.89 points for board score.

The Air Force Academy's selectees for senior master sergeant are Master Sgts.:

Robert Hill, Cadet Wing
Karla Jeremiah-Griffith, 10th Aerospace Medicine Squadron
Jason Malec, Directorate of Manpower and Personnel
Douglas Murphy, 10th Medical Operations Squadron
Kristina Ritz, Directorate of Financial Management
