We've watched the fireworks in Boston MA several times but being here at the USAFA with all the military families and service members made this year one we'll cherish forever. Thank you for making this 4th of July something special. Thank you too for helping to keep our country safe and truly the home of freedom.

I am so grateful for the fireworks display at the AFA. The fireworks were amazing as usual and I am thankful that our country recognizes our troops in such a great display. Thank you for hosting such a celebration.I have an opinion though. The first round of canons was kind of cool until my kid started freaking out. Then there were more and more and more canons. Overkill. Hopefully next year there won't be any canons fired so close so that my family and I can enjoy the entire show and not focus so much on calming my screaming child.Again thank you for hosting and putting on an otherwise great show.

Our family had a blast at the July 4th 2011 festivities this year at the Air Force Academy. The kids loved the jumping castles we all enjoyed the Colorado Springs Philharmonic's performance as well as the Air Force Academy band. One of the special treats was the combined orchestraband performance of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture punctuated with the firing of the howitzers. Lastly we were awestruck at the amazing fireworks display that went on for over 25 minutes with a fantastic finale. Thank you to the Air Force Academy all of the volunteers that got us in and out of the base and to the men and women of the Academy that reached out to their community and offered a fun family-friendly Fourth
