Colonel MATTHEW S. HUSEMANN Col. Matt Husemann is the Vice Superintendent, U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado. He serves as chief operations officer to the Superintendent. He is the principal coordinating agent for all command matters and supports the Superintendent in directing a four-year regimen of military training, academics, athletic and character development programs leading to a Bachelor of Science degree and a commission as a second lieutenant.Col. Husemann received his commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 2000 and served in a variety of operational and staff assignments throughout his career. He served as the Vice Commander, 86th Airlift Wing, commanded at the squadron level and served in the Joint Staff Directorate for Logistics (J4).Prior to assuming his current position, Col.
