U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo -- Due to recent gate-runs and other serious security incidents at other Air Force installations, I feel compelled to remind all USAFA personnel of our collective responsibility to contribute to our installation's defense and security. While our 10th Security Forces Squadron defenders and Office of Special Investigations do phenomenal work in sustaining our security, USAFA needs every one of us to be a sensor with respect to suspicious activity.
If you "See Something, Say Something." If you find yourself in a situation
where you need to report suspicious activity, a known threat, or potential
threat, please be sure to emphasize the SALUTE (size, activity, location,
uniform, time, equipment) reporting format.
When it comes to the safety and security of USAFA personnel, everyone plays a critical part. I encourage you to save the attached Eagle Eyes Pamphlet to your computer desktop and/or print out for your workspace. Of note, on the pamphlet are 2 phone numbers that are good to have on hand: 10 SFS (333-2000) and OSI (333-3305).
