Free public event: Academy to host planetarium and STEM Center open house

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – Plan your visit to the U.S. Air Force Academy's first open house since reopening to the public late last year.    

The school is hosting a free open house at its planetarium and STEM Center, just west of Harmon Hall, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. May 7.

"The planetarium offers a unique opportunity to introduce people, especially children, to some of the fundamentals of STEM and discovery," said Academy spokesperson Lisa Neener.

The event will include food trucks, an inflatable planetarium inside Arnold Hall next to the planetarium in case of poor weather, photo opportunities with cadet falconers and videos. 

"This event is geared toward families with children of all ages,” Neener said.

Parking will be available next to the planetarium with overflow parking at the Barry H. Goldwater Visitor Center. Registration is not is required.
