Media Advisory: Academy to host annual deer hunt

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. --  The Academy's Natural Resources office will conduct the annual base deer hunt from Dec. 3-5 and Dec. 10-12.

Visitors to the base on those dates are reminded they may hear gunfire and should not be alarmed. Frequently used roads and trails leading into the hunting areas will be posted with bright orange warning signs requesting that all personnel stay out of these areas.

All hunters are guided by Academy or Colorado Parks and Wildlife personnel, and public safety is a primary concern.
