A peek inside cadet life awaits cadet parents at the Academy's annual Parents' Weekend, today through Sunday.

Friday marks the first full day of the Academy's annual Parents' Weekend, which brings an estimated 10,000 cadet parents and family members to the Pikes Peak Region for the Labor Day Weekend. Following their cadets through classes, watching a cadet parade, and taking the controls of a flight simulator are just a few things that await parents who visit their cadets on Friday.

Parents can visit the Academy airfield, tour the Cadet Chapel, attend worship services, have breakfast or lunch with their cadets in the Mitchell Hall dining facility, as well as attending Academy Preparatory School's season-opener in football against Garden City Community College Friday or the Air Force Academy's season opener in football against Nicholls State on Saturday.

For more information and the full Parents' Weekend event schedule, visit the Parents' Weekend Web page. Media outlets must call the Academy Public Affairs Office at 719-333-7593 to make arrangements for escort and access.
