1. Earlier today, I had the honor to assume command as the Commander of the 10th Air Base Wing from Colonel Stacey Hawkins. Sonya and I wish him and Natalie our very best in their next assignment. We are incredibly humbled by this opportunity, and I thank

Lieutenant General Johnson for her leadership and vote of confidence in us as a command team.

2. Serving with me are Colonel Brad McDonald and Chief Master Sergeant Shirley Jones. They both are experienced professionals, and I am proud to serve with these two exceptionally talented leaders. Together, we will serve you and lead this wing guided by the principles of servant leadership. We will be good servants of our people and good stewards of our resources.

3. My command intent for this wing is strategically aligned with the Superintendent’s intent for the United States Air Force Academy. My command will be rooted in a culture of commitment and a climate of respect. I will encourage innovation and integration as we refine our processes and improve communication. We will solidify our efforts of making us the Air Force’s premier installation that supports our nation’s premier institution that integrates leadership and character.

4. Following this general message, I will send my first SITREP to all 10th Air Base Wing Airmen (civilians, officers, and enlisted) and to our many mission elements and community leaders, further detailing my intent. In the future, you will receive messages directly from me via several channels. My performance goal is to ensure receipt by all members, from all ranks, within twenty-four hours.

5. I am extraordinarily proud of all of you in this wing and of your service to our Air Force’s Academy and to cadets, airmen, and families.

6. All standing orders remain in effect. Carry out the routine of the day.
