Holiday wishes from the Academy superintendent Published Dec. 28, 2015 By Lt. Gen. Michelle Johnson U.S. Air Force Academy superintendent U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- Thank you for all you do -- every day -- to support our great nation and for the difference each of you makes as we continue building leaders of character for our great Air Force. As we enjoy the holidays, I hope you are able to celebrate your traditions and blessings with family and friends. This is a time to focus on those things that are most important to us, reflect on the past year and refresh for the year ahead. I truly appreciate all the hard work, support and perseverance each one of you has put forth to make our Academy great. Wherever you spend the holidays this year, I encourage you to make a special effort to make a difference in the lives of those immediately around you. Oftentimes, relationship issues, legal or financial worries and job-related stress are amplified during this time of year. Airmen, their loved ones and our civilians are the heart of our service. I ask that you make a personal effort to reach out to all our Airmen this holiday season and have those conversations that will continue to build trust and help us take care of one another. Every member of the Academy team is critical to our Air Force and success as an institution. Thanks again for your service and thanks for making a difference every day. My family and I are immensely proud to be part of the Academy family, and we wish you a safe and joyous holiday season and a peaceful and prosperous New Year. Go Air Force! Beat CAL!
