Season's greetings from the 10th ABW commander Published Dec. 21, 2015 By Col. Troy Dunn 10th Air Base Wing commander U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- Season's Greetings! The holiday season is a wonderful time to reconnect, recharge and relax as we reflect on the promises of peace, the gift of life, the blessings of liberty and the joy of being with family, friends and loved ones. From the lighting of the Chanukah Menorah to the festivities that usher in a new year, the holiday season bring us closer together as we celebrate with our fellow Airmen and our fellow Americans. Many of our fellow Airmen are deployed around the globe and separated from their loved ones this holiday season. Those mighty Airmen of valor make incredible sacrifices in the defense of our country because they believe in our way of life. The reports I hear from them is that serving in the world's greatest Air Force is an honor and worth every ounce of sacrifice. So, I salute them this holiday season. I ask every cadet, Airman and their families to join me and keep them and their loved ones in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. Like you, they are America's Airmen ... They are America's heroes. Sonya and I wish you a safe and happy holiday season. Your dedication and commitment to our core values are the foundation that makes our community strong and our country safe. Thank you for what you do. Peace, joy and goodwill towards all.
