The Air Force gained four new supervisors March 22 when Senior Airmen Erin Joshua Barriga, Nickalus Keyros, Shelby Shrader and Ryan Webb graduated Airmen Leadership School.

The Airmen, all assigned to the 10th Air Base Wing, earned six college credit hours in leadership training during ALS and are qualified to supervise and officially evaluate the performance of their subordinates.

“Being able to supervise others means I can also mentor them and really be able to help them in their careers,” said Keyros, assigned to the 10th Security Forces Squadron. “I’m grateful I got the opportunity to meet this goal.”

Chief Master Sgt. Lisa Buckman, 10th ABW command chief, said front-line supervisors have the toughest job in the Air Force.

“Not only are they expected to be the experts in their career fields, they’re expected to take care of our most valuable resource -- people.”

Senior airman is the fourth enlisted rank in the Air Force, above airman first class and below staff sergeant.
