Cadet convicted, sentenced for sexual assault Published April 29, 2013 U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- A cadet who had two charges preferred against him in September 2012 was convicted April 27 on one charge of abusive sexual contact. Cadet 2nd Class Jamil Cooks, who earlier last week pleaded guilty to two specifications of unlawful entry into the rooms of two female cadets, was sentenced to time served, dismissal and forfeiture of all pay and allowances. Cooks was originally charged with attempted forcible sodomy, in violation of Article 80 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, and with aggravated sexual assault and two specifications of abusive sexual contact, in violation of Article 120. One specification was later dismissed at the victim's request.
