Murphy Named To MWC All-Conference Team

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- Air Force junior forward Bridgett Murphy was named to the Mountain West Conference women's soccer All-Conference team, announced by the conference office Tuesday evening. This marks Murphy's third-consecutive season of earning second-team honors.

Murphy, a native of Melbourne Beach, Fla. started all 19 games for the Falcons and led the team with five assists and ranked second with 11 points and third with three goals. Her five assists are the most by a Falcon since Beth Boyer had six in 2001. Murphy leads all current Falcons with 11 career goals and 27 career points.

Murphy is also a standout in the classroom, garnering two MWC all-academic honors. Yesterday, she earned first-team CoSIDA ESPN Academic All-District honors. It is Murphy's second academic all-district honor as well.
