Superintendent participates in Biennial of the Americas roundtable

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- Air Force Academy Superintendent Lt. Gen. Mike Gould took part in a 12-person roundtable discussion on education during the Biennial of the Americas summit in Denver July 6.

The discussion focused on how to narrow the achievement gap for minorities throughout the Western Hemisphere.

Other participants in the discussion included Other guests included Sen. Michael Bennett (Colo.), Guatemala Ambassador Francisco Villagrán de Leon and Colombian education minister Cecilia María Vélez.

The Biennial of the Americas seeks to promote cohesion and collaboration among the 35 nations of the Western Hemisphere, according to the Biennial's press kit. The conference continues through July 31.
