The U.S. Air Force Academy Band's world class jazz ensemble The Falconaires is bringing some swing to Colorado's Front Range, appearing as guest artists at the Mile High Jazz Festival at Arvada's Ralston Valley High School and at two school performances in Colorado Springs.

This year's Mile High Jazz Festival will take place Feb. 3-5 at Ralston Valley High School in Arvada, Colo. The Falconaires are headlining the event and will perform each afternoon from noon to 1 p.m. The band will also present several clinics for students. They will perform a diverse program that will capitalize on new cutting-edge music as well as traditional big-band favorites. All performances are free and open to the public.

"We're looking forward to playing at the festival," said tour manager Tech. Sgt. Jason Crowe. "It's always great to create and strengthen our relationships with all of the Colorado high school jazz bands that perform here ... it's especially important for the U.S. Air Force Academy's education outreach mission."
