Air Force senior punter Brandon Geyer was named Mountain West Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the Falcons' 35-7 win over Army on Nov. 7.

It is the first MWC player of the week honor for Geyer, who had punts of 71 and 63 yards versus the Black Knights.

Geyer joined Max Hall and Jan Jorgensen from BYU and Andy Dalton from TCU as MWC Players of the Week for games through Nov. 7. Hall and Dalton shared Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Jorgensen garnered the Defensive Player award.

Geyer punted six times for 289 yards (48.2 avg.) in Air Force's win over service academy rival Army. In addition to his career-long punt of 71 yards, the senior from Bay City, Mich., also booted the third-longest punt of his career, good for 63 yards. Geyer had one punt downed inside the 20 and finished with a career-best net punting average of 46.7 yards, allowing only one nine-yard return on the day.
