Soccer: Women Falcons drops 1-0 match to UNLV Published Oct. 16, 2009 By Nick Arseniak Athletic Communications U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- The Air Force women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 match to UNLV Oct. 15 at the Cadet Soccer Stadium. The loss dropped the Falcons to 2-12-1 (0-4) and improved the Rebels to 5-6-4 (1-2). Steamboat native Kelly Labor scored the game-winning goal just seconds after substituting into the match, off a pass from LaChere Anglin, in the 62nd minute. Anglin drove up the end line and passed into the middle of the box, where Labor fired in for the score from 10 yards out. Air Force had 11 shots in the game. Sophomore Bridgett Murphy led the way with four shots, two on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Ariana Green had two saves for the Falcons. UNLV had 14 shots in the game. Goalkeeper Alicia Lugo had six saves in the win. Air Force returns to action Oct. 17, hosting San Diego State. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m.
