GENERAL MYERS TO RECIEVE USAFA AWARD MONDAY

Retired General Richard B. Myers, the 15th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will receive the United States Air Force Academy T.D. White Award here Monday.

A parade and award presentation will be held in honor of the general on the terrazzo during noon meal formation.

The T.D. White Award was established March 1, 1962. It is presented annually to a U.S. citizen who has contributed significantly to the national defense of the United States. The award may be based on outstanding contributions to national security in any fields of endeavor, including science, technology, leadership, management, national affairs, international affairs or a combination thereof.
