Academy Airmen can chat with Defense Secretary via Troop Talk event Published Aug. 21, 2015 National Guard Bureau-Public Affairs WASHINGTON -- The Secretary of Defense will host a global Troop Talk event 9 a.m. (ET), September 1, featuring live and pre-recorded questions from service members stationed across the world. Troops Talk will be streamed live at www.Defense.gov and broadcast live throughout the American Forces Radio and Television Service network from Studio 1, Defense Media Activity, Fort Meade, Maryland. The 60-minute forum will allow service members to interact with the Defense Department top official on issues affecting them. Depending on technical capabilities, service members may participate live on the day of the event through remote satellite uplinks, FaceTime, Skype or in the live studio audience. Along with asking the secretary questions directly, service members can submit questions on Facebook, Twitter at #AskSecDef or email questions to AskSecDef@mail.mil.
