Commander in Chief's Trophy at the 10th Medical Group until Dec. 22 Published Dec. 17, 2014 By Airman 1st Class Rachel Hammes U.S. Air Force Academy Public Affairs U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- The Commander in Chief's Trophy has a new home for the week - the Academy's 10th Medical Group. The trophy is making its rounds around the installation, giving everyone a chance to see it. Senior Master Sgt. James Gray, the 10th Medical Operation Squadron superintendent, says the trophy inspires Airmen there to go above and beyond. "Having the Commander in Chief's Trophy in the medical group means a lot to our Airmen," he said. "Displaying the trophy here shows that we are truly one team here at USAFA, and we all win whenever any of the mission elements have successful achievements. We are inspired by our future officer leaders for regaining the trophy, despite Navy being forecasted to win it again. It shows that hard work and focus pays off. We are motivated at the medical group to bring this same mindset to the patient care we provide daily. Go Falcons!" The Commander in Chief's Trophy will be traveling to the Visitor's Center next week, and then on to other locations here before being taken to Washington, D.C., for the presidential presentation this spring. The trophy will return to the Academy with the team after the ceremony. Take a photo with the trophy and share it with us using #YourAcademy on Instagram or via Facebook e-mail.
