More than 200 cadets were recognized for their outstanding achievements last semester during the Superintendent's List reception, Oct. 23 at the Carlton House.

The names of freshmen through senior cadets who made the Dean's, Athletic Director or Commandant's lists for spring 2014, were placed on the Superintendent's List. Those on the list receive a Superintendent's pin to wear next semester indicating their accomplishment.

Cadets must have a 3.0 GPA, a 3.0 Physical Education Average and be in the top third of their class year by semester Military Performance Average, to make the Superintendent's List.

"Having earned their spot on the Superintendent's List, these cadets demonstrated an awesome trifecta of academic, military and athletic achievement," said Academy Superintendent Lt. Gen. Michelle D. Johnson. "Part of being a wingman and taking the core values to heart is setting an example for others to follow, and I would say these cadets did just that. I applaud their hard work and congratulate each and every one of them."

The Academy's Dean of the Faculty, Brig. Gen. Andrew Armacost, also attended the event.

"Making the Superintendent's List is not easy; it is an amazing achievement," he said. "This elite group is a testimony to our core value of excellence in all we do. I wish this outstanding group of cadets the best. They will go on to accomplish great things for our Air Force."
