Dean honors spring 2014 Aces

Seven cadets and one Class of '14 graduate were recognized as the Academy's newest Dean's Aces in an official ceremony Oct. 6 at the Heritage House.

Dean of the Faculty Brig. Gen. Andrew Armacost presided over the Dean's Aces Dinner, held each semester to recognize the group for achieving a 4.0 GPA in their academic and physical education classes during the spring 2014 semester. 

Only 0.2 percent of the 3,903 cadets here maintained a 4.0 GPA this past semester.

The newest Dean's Aces are: 2nd Lt. Ian McColaugh; Cadets 1st Class Elliot Bucki, Rebecca Esselstein, Zachary Johnson and Caleb Ziegler; Cadets 2nd Class Christopher Dylewski and Kyle Jameson; and Cadet 3rd Class Nicholas Carpenter.

Also attending the dinner were Mobilization Assistant to the Superintendent Brig. Gen. Mary Hittmeier and Commandant of Cadets Brig. Gen. Stephen Williams.
