National Weather Service forecasts hazardous weather for Academy Published Jan. 7, 2016 U.S. Air Force Public Affairs U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for southern El Paso County, including Colorado Springs and the Air Force Academy, Jan. 7. The National Weather Service says snow will fall over the Pikes Peak Region, and increase over the I-25 corridor by the morning of Jan. 8. The forecasted high temperature Jan. 7 is 36 degrees, with a 50 percent chance of snow at the Academy of one to two inches. The forecasted high in the area for Jan. 8 is 26 degrees with a 70 percent chance of snow of one to two inches.
