Plaza of Heroes dedication ceremony to honor Academy's Vietnam veterans

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. -- The Southeast Asia Plaza of Heroes Dedication Ceremony honoring the Air Force Academy's Vietnam veterans, is scheduled for 11 a.m., Nov. 6 on the Heritage Trail at Doolittle Hall.

The event will honor the Academy's only Medal of Honor recipient, Capt. Lance Sijan, and its16 Air Force Cross recipients and five Silver Star recipients.

Several surviving medal recipients and their family members are scheduled to attend, along with Chief of Staff of the Air Force Gen. Mark A. Welsh III.
