The Air Force Academy will join numerous other military and civilian organizations in honoring men and women returning home from overseas. The Red, White and Brave Welcome Home Parade, honoring men and women who have served and are serving in Southwest Asia, is being held in downtown Colorado Springs Saturday at 10 a.m.

Cadet Squadron 38 will represent the Academy's cadet wing. Varsity cheerleaders and "The Bird," a cadet dressed as the Academy's Falcon mascot, will march in the parade and hand out Falcon T-shirts to onlookers. Additionally, 34 cadet athletes will support the event by escorting dignitaries.

The 10th Air Base Wing Fire Department will also take part, displaying its vintage fire truck, known as Reo Speed Wagon.
