The Air Force Academy's Cadet Wing has formal parades planned Monday and Tuesday, as part of the Academy's pre-graduation activities.

Monday features the Organizational Awards Parade, 10 a.m., at the Academy's Stillman Parade Field. At this parade, cadet squadrons receiving awards in the categories of leadership, military, academics and athletics will be honored.

Tuesday features the Class of 2012's Graduation Parade, 10 a.m., at Stillman Parade Field. This will be the last parade for the Class of 2012, as they turn over command of the Cadet Wing to the Class of 2013.

Pre-parade events for both parades include a falconry performance and airmanship demonstrations and start at 9:30 a.m.

Both events are free, open to the public and tickets are not required. Seating is first come, first served. Visitors are advised to arrive early, as parade attendance and traffic are typically very high.

Parking will be available at the Cadet Field House, accessible through the Academy's North Gate, at Exit 156B off I-25. Shuttle bus service will be available to ferry attendees from the Cadet Field House to the parade field starting at 7 a.m. Handicapped-equipped vans will also run to and from the parade field.

The public should not bring large bags and backpacks to the parade. Cameras, video cameras and binoculars are permitted, but attendees should be prepared to remove the camera lenses for security inspection.

Both parades are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather.
