Flight Mission: The Material Management Flight is responsible for stocking, storing, issuing, managing, inventorying, shipping, and inspecting DoD supplies, equipment, munitions, and fuels. This flight is the primary liaison between customers and the Air Force Global Logistics Support Center (AFGLSC). The flight consists of two sections: Customer Support government; consists of six government-inherent positions) and Asset Management (contracted; 40 contractor positions). The Asset Management Section manages base supply, fuels, munitions, and freight operations. The Customer Support Section is responsible for performing DRU-level Command Equipment Management and Report of Survey Program administration functions. Three government CORs perform Logistics Support Service and Fuels Distribution contract oversight and inspection (LGRMS Asset Management). Each COR performs oversight of a specific function (Supply, Fuels, and Munitions). This flight performs USAFA Static Display oversight, inspects aircraft, coordinates repairs and cleaning actions. This flight also performs Munitions Accountable Systems Officer (MASO) functions for the entire Colorado Front Range area; USAFA, Peterson AFB, Schriever AFB, Cheyenne Mountain Complex and AF units assigned to Fort Carson.

Customer Service (LGRMC) Section Mission: The Customer Service Section provides DRU-level functions concerning equipment management and Report of Surveys. The Command Equipment Management Officer (CEMO) develops plans and policy guidance to implement assigned supply programs and administers the Air Force Equipment Management System (AFEMS). Controls command vehicle allocations, distribution, and final disposition; provides instructions to item managers to process vehicles for shipment, disposition, and rebuild/remanufacture; maintains FY vehicle allocation records and assists in FY vehicle priority buy preparation. The CEMO also performs validation for new/increased requirements and initiates approval/ disapproval process. The Report of Survey (ROS) Administrator is the single point of contact for USAFA report of survey issues and maintains the USAFA Report of Survey registry. The ROS Administrator provides advice and guidance to Accountable Officers, Responsible Officers, Property Custodians, Surveying Officers, and the Approving Authority and manages the ROS process. The ROS Administer also functions as the LRS Assistant Resource Advisor, facilitating the management of the LRS budget and financial processes.

Asset Management (LGRMS) Section Mission:  (Aleut Support Services Facilities) manages Central Storage, Hazardous Material (HAZMART), Individual Equipment Element (IEE), Individual Protective Equipment (IPE), Fuels, and Munitions. The section is responsible for inspecting, stocking, storing, issuing, decentralized inventory and inspection management of DoD supplies, equipment, fuels, and munitions. LGRMS is also responsible for the inspection, receipt, storage, and issue of mobility bags, base mobility small arms weapons, chemical warfare defense equipment, and gas masks/weapon support kits. Also stores and issues/transfers Individual Body Armor (IBA) to unit Equipment Custodians and Responsible Persons.
